We encourage all parents to accompany their student for a personalized visit to the college. By visiting, you will find a small, personal environment where your son or daughter will get individualized attention from our staff and our faculty members who are working artists and designers and who can share with them the challenges and rewards of a career in the visual arts. By touring our facilities, viewing the work in our student galleries, interacting with students and faculty, you will see that our students are provided with an exceptional education, along with numerous opportunities to work as professionals, exhibiting work and working on actual projects for real clients with real deadlines brought to the classroom by our faculty. These experiences serve our students well upon graduation, as indicated by the great achievements and successes of our alumni.

You will also learn that PCA&D is an excellent value and that our tuition is significantly lower than other professional art colleges. PCA&D is located in beautiful, historic, downtown Lancaster, which supports a very active and thriving arts community.

If you would like to schedule a personal visit at the college, please contact our admissions office at 717.396.7833 or at admissions@pcad.edu. We look forward to meeting you!

What parents have to say....

From Chris McCleary, mother of Sean, class of '04
From day one when Sean was a freshman at PCA&D, he was given every opportunity to learn and grow in his profession by the caring faculty and staff. With the small class size he was given one-on-one instruction that is not always given at larger institutions. As a parent, any question or inquiry was always answered, not by voice mail, but by a professional, ready to listen and with an answer. The financial aid office was always available to lend a hand with those "impossible" forms and did there utmost to find any aid that would be accessible to the student.

From Rebecca Combs, mother of Sarah, class of '09
PCA&D really has its act together. My husband is an engineer and I'm an accountant, it was refreshing to be given the facts...PCA&D is a perfect fit for Sarah. She has met a lot of people since her enrollment...She is enjoying both her academic and social life...As parents, we appreciate that PCA&D shows concern about developing productive people, not just artists.

From Adrianne Brent, mother of Jeff, class of '10
(The) Meet & Greet was amazing. The process worked very well. Students had a chance to meet one another while the parents got a lot of good information about how to prepare students for college. Jeffery found a roommate that day and we had a chance to meet his parents...It was helpful to have lists of available apartments constantly updated. Having all the steps outlined in the Housing Guide was very helpful.
