Web Design
Pennsylvania College of Art & Designs Digital Design Series in Web teaches students the basic principles of design
and composition essential to effective design for the Web. This series
of design courses provides students with training on the software programs
used to create Web sites for businesses, family, friends, or themselves.
Students begin with the same Design Principles/Typography course that
print students take, laying the foundation for all future design work
done on the computer. Adobe Photoshop is introduced so that students will
learn to scan and enhance images.
Critical to all Web design projects, students will learn the basics of
hyper text markup language (HTML) in addition to learning Adobe Dreamweaver, the most popular editor for building Web sites.
Skills and competencies students gain through this program
include how to design and build a Web site and how to scan,
store, and protect images for use on the Web.
