Print Design
The Digital Design Series in print teaches students the basic skills
needed to produce print design projects. Students learn to use
state-of-the-art graphic software programs current in the industry.
A Design Principles/Typography course teaches students the foundation for design work done on the computer. Students will learn one graphic
software program for drawing (Adobe Illustrator), one for page layout
(Adobe InDesign), and one for image editing (Adobe Photoshop).
This combination is essential to functioning in any field which largely
produces computer generated graphics - graphic design, publishing, marketing,
advertising.
By gaining command of these software programs, students significantly
shorten their learning curve for mastering other programs. All courses
are taught by working professionals who use the software they teach on
a daily basis. This enables students to gain valuable insight into the
expectations of the design industry.
